1. Check the content of fibrous feed:

A. First, grab a handful of mixed feed:

Check whether the feed is fluffy and not squeezed by observing the green storage in the stirred feed.

Among them, dry matter should account for 40% to 45%, fibrous feed should account for 10%, and the length is about 5 cm.

By controlling the mixing time and feeding sequence, the corn stalks can be kneaded well without destroying the structure.

Straw and other fodder should be cut, not ground, to ensure the rumination of cows.

B. Second, check the rumination of cows:

The number of chewings before each swallowing is about 60 times, indicating that the feed is well stirred.

Stable rumen PH value is very important to prevent acidosis in dairy cows. If the ruminating action is about 2 times per minute, it is a suitable interval.

If the chewing frequency is less than 40 beats per minute, the ruminating action slows down. It shows that the rumen PH value decreases, and the fiber in the feed needs to be increased to stimulate saliva secretion and balance the rumen acidity.

2. Calculation of average feed intake:

Dry matter intake (kg) = body weight (kg) x 0.02 + milk production (kg) x 0.25

For example:

If the average milk production of a herd is 28 kg, the average weight is 650 kg.

Then the average feed intake of dry matter is:

(650x0.02) + (28x0.25) = 20 kg

3. Appropriate feed formula:

The best formula is also an economic formula. The final formula is determined according to the feeding cost and milk production.

The general principle is: 80% roughage: 20% concentrate. Can not exceed the ratio: 50% roughage: 50% concentrated feed.

7500 kg milk production/head/year: 11.5 MJ/kg dry matter x 20 kg dry matter=230 MJ/day.

9000 kg milk production/head/year: 12.2 MJ/kg dry matter x 23 kg dry matter = 280 MJ/day.

6. Protein content in feed:

Ideal value of protein:

For ordinary dairy cows: 16% protein per kilogram of dry matter.

For high-yielding dairy cows: 18% protein per kilogram of dry matter.

7. Decomposable protein in feed:

Dairy cows must convert all nutrients and energy sources into digestible protein to a large extent.

Forages in spring are easy to decompose and digest quickly. Soybeans or pre-treated protein feeds are not easy to decompose.

If the content of decomposable protein in the feed is too small, it will cause a decrease in feed intake and milk production.

8. Improve milk production while improving milk quality:

While milk production is increasing, milk quality cannot be ignored: such as the content of protein and fat.

There should be 9.5~11 grams of effective decomposable protein and 4~4.5 grams of transformable protein in each unit of daily energy consumption.

9. Sugar in feed:
